C.O.P.E. SUPPORT GROUPS
COPE Support Groups are a support network designed to help individuals manage and overcome the emotional and psychological challenges following a disaster. These groups provide a safe and supportive environment where participants can share their experiences, feelings, and concerns.
Led by trained facilitators, these groups will focus on:
- teaching coping strategies such as stress management, resilience building, and problem-solving skills.
- how to process trauma.
- developing a sense of community.
- enhancing emotional well-being.
Through interactive discussions, educational resources, and peer support, members learn how to regain control over their lives and set themselves up for future success.

Helping You Gain Resilience
Support groups are a great way for survivors of trauma to come together to discuss their experiences. Project COPE support groups offer guidance, resources, and a safe space to discuss life after Hurricane Idalia. Even months after the storm, it can be overwhelming to survivors who are trying to find their new normal. Join one of our short-term groups to help you navigate the next steps.
Topics include:
- Trauma After the Storm
- Coping with Grief and Loss
- Stress Management
- Coping with Anger
- Parenting during Stressful Situations
- Building Family Resiliency
- Helping Children Cope
- Resources in the Community
