Provides services and referrals to empower elders, their families and caregivers to make informed choices about aging in place with dignity, purpose and security. Services are available to relative caregivers over the age of 55.

Elder Options’ mission is to ensure that communities have a trusted and unbiased place to turn for information, resources and assistance.

Some Services The Programs Provide Are:

  • Case management
  • Personal care to assist with bathing and dressing
  • Respite care to provide a break to a family member or friend that provides care in the home
  • Homemaking such as dish washing, dusting, making up the bed
  • Emergency alert to notify of a fall
  • Home delivered meals
  • Assistance to help purchase consumable medical home supplies
  • Assistance paying for services in an Assisted Living Facility

NorthStar Family Resource Center (NSFRC), serving Columbia County. NSFRC patrons have access to a wide array of on-site and referral-based family support services, including, but not limited to, concrete supports (e.g., healthy food options, clothing, emergency financial assistance, health screenings), employability skills training, financial literacy classes, afterschool programs, community events, such as an annual health and wellness expo, and referrals to other social service agencies.  NSFRC provides Opioid Awareness, Prevention, and Advocacy services for Columbia County.
